The Trees Hold Seeds
By Mama T
Yesterday I learned that a mother could carry twins,
give birth to one baby,
and hold the other one inside for just a little while longer until she is ready.
I guess she needed a little more nurturing.
Trees hold seeds,
Until they are ready to let them go,
So they can take root,
It’s their way of ensuring that new life will eventually bloom.
Eventually…
Did you know that dogwood trees,
Are the first to bloom?
Every year during lent,
Right before Easter,
When Jesus rose again.
While other trees are still sleeping,
Winter has not yet passed,
and…
They are not yet ready.
And I hear that still small voice,
Speak to me…
Do not rush love,
If it is not yet ready.
Hold on,
It is soon coming.
I know that it’s been a long winter,
I know you have dreams of spring,
Of the seeds inside of your womb,
Waiting to take root,
But they have not yet bloom…
Don’t lose sight of this moment.
Rest,
Focus on your breath.
Don’t be envious of the trees
that are already blooming.
You will too,
Eventually.
You are exactly where you are supposed to be,
Keep planting seeds,
Nurture them for just a little while longer.
Do not rush love,
For it is right around the corner,
Waiting for you to surrender.
